Leighann Liggett is fundraising for Premvember

Hi everyone,

I hope you will join me to raise some awareness and vital funds towards a charity that means so much to me and my family.

At 33 weeks pregnant I went into labour with identical twin boys Cody and Bradley. I had carried these precious babies in my tummy for so long and now they had been born to early, weighing 3 pound 13 and 4 pound 14. This was a scary time and being able to do absolutely nothing but look through an incubator as your babies fight the biggest fight they will ever have to do is an experience I hope no mother has to go through. 

Then tiny life came into my life and I had someone who understood how scared I was and someone who I spoke to anytime I felt alone. I was put into groups with other mums who where going through the exact same situation I was and felt like I wasn't alone anymore and we supported each other through our highs and lows. Tiny life sent a breast pump to my hospital so I could feed my babies from home and bring it to the hospital .something that meant so much to me as I could actually help my babies get stronger. I was helping my babies even when I was at home resting. We received vouchers and invites to tiny life events. So the boys could meet other babies just like them. This was a community we didn't know existed until we had two sick babies born to early.  

I hope many of you don't ever need tiny life's support from having a very weak premature baby but if you do they will be their. We need to support all the families who do need some support and help during the scariest time of their lives. Some babies live with conditions for life from being born to early, some mums and dads struggle with their mental health during this time, and as heart-breaking to say some mums and dads never get to take their babies home. 

As November is the month Cody and Bradley where born and also premvember Myself and my husband Jason are throwing a raffle to give back to a charity who we believe will never get enough credit for what they do and did for us.

LTS (Linton technical solutions) In Maghaberry are making a personalised Christmas Reindeer head and raffling it off and all money will go towards the Tiny Life Charity.
